2: Horticulture and Soil Science
The purpose of this course is to establish in our students a foundational knowledge of soil science, sustainable, organic horticulture. This foundation begins in the soil and then extends through the botanical world drawing real world examples and using a diverse array of scientific thought stemming from biology, geology, hydrology and climatology. This course is an introduction to implementing a commercial-scale cultivation operation. By the end of this asynchronous course, students will possess the technical expertise and foundational knowledge necessary to thrive in the cannabis industry. This course will cover business concepts including topics such as finance/accounting, global business, small business, the entrepreneur, professionalism and time management, operations and management strategies, sales and marketing tactics, and the basics of a successful business plan. The course shows the student how these functions exist in the changing industry and the type of decisions which must be made within the environment. The course is also designed to expose the student to the multitude of career fields in the areas of business and the cannabis industry.

7: Dutchie Lab Experience
The Dutchie Experience will lead you through being an agent, an inventory lead, key employee, a delivery manger and finally a GM. The mock dispensary course will be covering the Dutchie software and hardware POS systems used by dispensary employees. The course will teach you how to create the back and front office of a dispensary by adding products, taking in inventory, and sales. Along with learning how to work with customers and their cannabis needs. If you are budding entrepreneur, this class offers you the opportunity to learn and grow in running your own dispensary business.

8: Dispensary Operations
The purpose of this course is to establish a foundation of knowledge regarding cannabis, specifically focusing on a dispensary setting. Our aim is for our students to be trained in tracking, dispensing, and selling medical cannabis as well as being able to guide patients in order to find the appropriate medical regimen currently allowable under the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program.

12: CO2 and Ethanol
This course focuses on the use of super-critical carbon dioxide, ethanol, and solvent-free methods to produce crude oil from cannabis. The structure of this class is split to include both theory and lab-based components. Students spend a portion of class time getting hands on with relevant equipment and receive training in safety and tube bending/fitting from Swagelok.

13: Post Processing
This course picks up where PRO201 left off and brings students into the realm of post-processing. Participants take a deep dive into the topics of nucleation, winterization, fractional distillation, isolation, and sonication. This course includes a lab section where students will spend time applying the methods, they learn to refine the crude oil produced in PRO101 into products like crystalline cannabinoids, absolute, distillates, isolates, water soluble concentrates, and nano-emulsions.
